Overview of the ITIL® Certifications
The intermediate levels of training are split into two main streams, MP (Managing professional) and SL (Strategic Leader).
MP courses are much more focused on hands on doing the work, so are more so operational, whereas SL are aimed at managers, or people who are setting the strategic direction of the services they are managing.
To become a equivalent of “ITIL Expert” that was used under the V3 scheme, an individual would need to have both the MP stream and SL streams completed . Once this is complete, they can then apply for an ITIL Master certification.
